AUSTRALIA VS SOUTH AFRICA 2nd T20 2009:MIKE HUSSEY GUIDED AUSSIE TO A VICTORY

A blazing 18-ball 40 not out by Cameron White along with a steady 52 not out off 33 balls by Mike Hussey gave Australia a six-wicket win in the second Twenty20 against Australia on Tuesday. Chasing 158, the home side reached home in 19 overs to win the two-game Twenty20 tourney 2-0.South Africa were on top at the 13th over-mark with skipper Ricky Ponting (38) and David Hussey (two) falling in quick succession. But Hussey and White kept the chase alive with a thrilling finish on the cards. The complexion of the game changed in the 17th over. White was dropped by JP Duminy off Wayne Parnell's first ball that went for a boundary and three crisp boundaries followed that changed the equation completely in Australia's favour.Australia finished the game in contemptuous fashion with White slamming a mammoth six off Morne Morkel in the penultimate over.Earlier, another fighting knock from Duminy steered South Africa to 157-5. The young southpaw smashed an unbeaten 69 from 47 balls that included seven boundaries and two sixes. After choosing to bat, the visitors kept losing wickets at regular intervals and failed to make a move on. Herschelle Gibbs failed again as he fell for six. Twenty20 debutant Hashim Amla made a run a ball 26 before falling to Ben Hilfenhaus. Vaughn van Jaarsveld perished for no score. The experienced Boucher made a run a ball 19 but James Hopes snared him with the South African score reading 90-4 with only six overs to go. However, some lusty hitting at the death that included 12 runs off the last three balls by Duminy.
